  1. This is not a very good tutorial, sorry.

    You say:
    mv /tmp/jdk1.7.* /usr/lib/jvm

    And then:
    update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/lib/jvm/jdk1.7.*/bin/java 1065

But we just moved the "content" of the folder jdk1.7.* into /usr/lib/jvm

    So it should be:
    update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/java java /usr/lib/jvm/bin/java 1065

Furthermore you say "to change java version enter the selection number in the first column."
    What selection number?
    What column?

  2. Hello Daniel,

thanks for Reading and Commenting here :)
    Look Better because...
The Tutorial is Just Working As Is!
Only Check if /usr/lib/jvm Exists Before Moving.
If Not, then Make it with: mkdir /usr/lib/jvm

    Cheers,
    Gianz

  4. Thanks for sharing it. Although the tutorial works fine, it would have been much better to have presented it in a better way but thanks anyway.
